2. Sheldon Brear – Fronius UK
Sheldon Brear from Fronius UK offered an engaging overview of the company’s 80-year legacy, celebrating the firm’s journey since its founding in 1945 by Gunter Fronius. Still proudly family-run today by Gunter’s grandchildren, Fronius continues to lead the way in welding innovation. Sheldon also shared examples of real-world aluminium welding applications, showcasing how Fronius equipment supports sectors from automotive to aerospace, and demonstrating the company’s commitment to quality, reliability, and sustainability in welding technology.

3. Vasilis Bagiatis – Jaguar Land Rover
The final speaker, Vasilis Bagiatis of Jaguar Land Rover, presented on plasma cleaning of aluminium components, explaining how advanced surface preparation technologies can dramatically enhance weld performance and consistency. His presentation highlighted how plasma cleaning integrates into modern manufacturing environments to support efficiency and quality improvement.
