The European AluVET project was launched last year in September and covers the creation of a vocational training programme for the aluminium sector in the UK and Europe.

One of the main requirements of the AluVET Project was to have European trade body partners with relevant interests and experience. We were delighted to join this consortium of experts.

The programme will develop guidelines for the implementation of training to increase digital and vocational competences of participants and trainers. The project runs over the two-year period and consists of various on-line questionnaires, on-line focus group meetings, field research and virtual training of the modules.

The results of these activities will provide information that can be used as a benchmark for continuous improvement in the development of soft and digital skills in the aluminium industry.

The training will be provided free of charge, each module will be approx. two hours and are aimed at individuals who require a basic understanding to confidently engage with the aluminium industry and its products. The relevant modules will be developed and delivered via an e-learning platform in English.

We need to fulfil our obligations with this project, and we kindly ask you to help us by completing the two very short surveys below by Thursday 30th June.
