Aluminium coatings have seen established use in industry, but that does not mean they don’t present future growth opportunities for
aluminium powder and process application companies. With changes in end-user needs and the growth of industries such as offshore wind that use these coatings, there is plenty of scope for the market to increase further.
With increased use comes a need to better understand how thermally sprayed aluminium (TSA) performs in different environments over extended periods of time. TWI Ltd conducted a systematic study to assess how damage effects the performance of TSA-coated steel under simulated marine immersion conditions.
