Help Shape the Future of the UK Aluminium Sector

The UK Metals Council has officially launched the 2025/26 State of the Metals Industry Survey, a vital national initiative that aims to highlight the pivotal role the aluminium and wider metals industry plays in powering the UK economy.

ALFED Urge Members to Share Their Voice in Critical UK Aluminium Industry Survey - The Aluminium Federation

With a sharp focus on economic contribution, sustainability, and the journey to net zero, this year’s report will provide key insights into how the aluminium sector is evolving and the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

As proud partners in this initiative, ALFED is calling on all its members to make their voices heard. Your input will help build a comprehensive, evidence-led picture of the aluminium industry—informing policy, championing innovation, and influencing decision-makers.

Commenting on the importance of participating in the survey, ALFED CEO, Nadine Bloxsome commented: “The UK aluminium sector continues to be a cornerstone of industrial strength, innovation, and sustainability. “This is a critical moment for the aluminium sector. We need strong, clear data to demonstrate our impact, voice our priorities, and influence policy that supports long-term growth and sustainability. By taking part in this survey, ALFED members can directly influence how our sector is represented and supported at a national level. I urge all our members to take part in this important survey—your voice matters.”

Why YOUR input in this survey is vital:

  • Showcase the aluminium industry’s contribution to UK growth and skilled jobs
  • Highlight real challenges facing businesses today
  • Influence national industrial policy and sustainability planning
  • Ensure our sector is recognised in the UK’s transition to net zero

The survey deadline is Friday 18th July 2025, so to complete yours and have your say in helping to shape the future of the UK Metals sector, please visit: UK Metals Council – State of the Metals Industry in the UK 2025/2026 Survey
