The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) is working towards the publication of a comprehensive Trade Strategy in Spring 2025. As part of this process, the DBT has opened an avenue for stakeholders to share their written views on key issues and priorities they believe should be reflected in the strategy.

ALFED Update: Contributing to the UK's Trade Strategy 2025 - The Aluminium Federation

This informal engagement process is being conducted through established stakeholder forums and networks, rather than public channels such as GOV.UK or HMG social media. This ensures that the focus remains on collecting meaningful insights from engaged sectors, including the aluminium industry.

To ensure the aluminium sector’s voice is fully represented, we strongly encourage all stakeholders to participate in this unique opportunity. You can share your views by emailing the DBT Trade Strategy team at:
???? tradestrategyengagement@businessandtrade.gov.uk

The mailbox is open now and will close on 17 January 2025. Submissions will be acknowledged via autoreply, and contributions will be referenced in the final Trade Strategy publication, recognising respondents, and reflecting their valuable input.

We encourage you to make your voice heard and contribute to shaping a strategy that aligns with the needs of the aluminium industry and the broader UK trade landscape.
