The Aluminium Federation (ALFED) are pleased to welcome Mypower as new Sustainability Supplier Members.

ALFED are Pleased to Announce Mypower as New Sustainability Supplier Members - The Aluminium Federation

Mypower designs and installs award winning commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for businesses across the UK. Our clients benefit by generating their own energy at the equivalent rate of 4-5p/kWh, significantly lower than grid supplied electricity rates, whilst also reducing their impact on climate change.

Investment payback of 3-4 years is typically achieved prior to any additional Annual Investment Allowance benefit.

In 2020 we celebrated our 10th anniversary and in early 2023 achieved the milestone of installing our 100,000th panel.  In 2022 Mypower was named ‘Solar PV Installer & Contractor of the Year’ at the National Energy Efficiency Awards.

ALFED members, Sherwood Stainless Steel & Aluminium Limited and Alutrade Limited have both significantly reduced their electricity costs and carbon footprint with Mypower installed solar PV.

Speaking on their new sustainability supplier membership, Business Development Manager, Neil Stott Commented: “We were recommended to ALFED by our customer Michael Horan at Sherwood Stainless Steel & Aluminium. After discussion with the ALFED team we decided to join given the federation and its members’ focus on sustainability and the need for low-cost electricity within this high energy consumption industry.  Mypower aims to share the benefits of solar PV, dispel some of the myths associated with the technology, and ultimately provide sound advice as to whether solar PV is right for a particular business or site”.
