We are very pleased to welcome Plastometrex into membership of the Aluminium Federation. Plastometrex is a Cambridge-based company developing novel mechanical testing systems that are designed to make mechanical testing simpler, faster and more versatile. Based on indentation testing, their systems leverage advanced numerical modelling, optimisation algorithms, and machine learning tools to convert indentation test data into stress-strain curves and metal strength parameters in under three minutes. Minimal sample preparation is needed, and real components can be tested.
