We’re delighted to announce that the official charity of the 2025 ALFED Annual Dinner is none other than The Charlie Fogarty Foundation, a cause rooted in resilience, recovery, and the belief that no young life should be defined by injury.

A Standing Ovation That Sparked a Movement
Many of you will remember the unforgettable moment at last year’s dinner when Charlie Fogarty MBE took the stage. His powerful, deeply personal story, from a promising young footballer to brain injury survivor, and now international motivational speaker, earned a standing ovation that still echoes in the minds of our guests.
Charlie’s journey didn’t stop with his own recovery. He chose to turn his experience into a lifeline for others; founding a charity to support young people living with acquired brain injuries, who are often left navigating recovery with limited support and uncertain futures.
About The Charlie Fogarty Foundation

Established to bridge the gap in long-term neurorehabilitation, the Foundation works to:
- Fund specialist physiotherapy, speech and occupational therapy for young survivors
- Provide motivational talks and school outreach, offering hope to families and communities
- Connect young people with real-life role models who’ve faced similar life-changing challenges
- Create pathways for independence, inclusion, and confidence-building beyond hospital discharge
Charlie’s mission is simple but powerful: To ensure that no young person facing a brain injury feels left behind. Anything is possible.
