The Aluminium Federation has joined The Manufacturing Trade Remedies Alliance (MTRA), which is a coalition of several trade associations and trade unions with an interest in UK manufacturing. The MTRA members believe that making things in the UK is good for our economy and society. On a level playing field our manufacturers are able to compete internationally and succeed.  MTRA’s objective is to ensure that the UK’s trade policy enables that level playing field and that this should include a robust and efficient trade remedies regime.

The ALFED CEO, Tom Jones, commented: ‘We are actively involved in various policy areas, representing the interests of the aluminium industry as we work with government and other organisations. It is great news that we are now members of the MTRA. As the voice of the UK aluminium industry this will make our voice even stronger.’
