The government’s UK Border Strategy which was published in Dec 2020, sets out the vision for the UK border to be the most effective in the world. One of the programmes proposed within the strategy was the development of a Single Trade Window (STW), to create a single gateway for all transactional data from traders into government. The consultation is intended to inform the government’s legislative approach to deliver a Single Trade Window.
