To support the company’s carbon neutrality objectives, Sherwood chose to invest in renewable energy generation and contacted Mypower to explore the potential of roof-top solar generation at their site in Wolverhampton. Aware of Mypower’s track record in the steel and heavy manufacturing industries, Mypower aligned with Sherwood’s specific objectives and timeframes, and initiated a step-by-step process from sizing and designing to installation and commissioning of the solar system.

Mypower designed and installed a 693.84 kWp rooftop solar system seamlessly integrated with existing rooflights at Sherwood. Through detailed planning and risk assessment, we ensured minimal disruption to operations. The system will now supply nearly 40% of the site’s annual energy demand, generating over 500,000 units of energy annually, reducing reliance on the traditional grid.
