Mathew Clark, Facilities & Maintenance Manager at Powdertech Surface Science

Mathew brings over a decade of engineering experience across the energy, rail, and defence sectors, supported by a strong mechanical background and a hands-on, solutions-focused approach.

Before joining the team at Powdertech, Mathew managed engineering operations at Air Liquide’s Anaerobic Digestion Plant, where he was responsible for maintaining complex industrial systems in a highly regulated environment. He has also held key technical roles with EMD Progress Rail, DB Schenker, and served with the British Army’s REME, experiences that have shaped his calm, structured leadership style and strong operational discipline.

Strengthening operational reliability and continuous improvement at Powdertech

At Powdertech, Mathew will lead all site maintenance and continuous improvement activities, ensuring the production and facility systems operate with the highest standards of reliability, safety, and efficiency.

Since joining the team, Mathew has quickly become a vital part of the day-to-day operations, working closely with production and engineering teams to improve plant performance and support Powdertech’s ongoing investment in process reliability and continuous improvement.

Matthew’s appointment strengthens Powdertech’s commitment to operational excellence to continue the delivery of high-quality surface finishing solutions for customers across demanding industrial sectors.
