AliDeck has welcomed senior representatives from the Aluminium Federation (ALFED) to its Kent headquarters, showcasing the company’s commitment to British manufacturing, sustainable growth, innovation and skills development.

Since the business was established in 2019, it has grown significantly and employs almost 100 people at its headquarters on Medway City Estate, Rochester. A specialist in aluminium extrusions, AliDeck designs and produces aluminium decking systems and other balcony components, supporting high-rise balcony manufacturers, construction companies, steel fabricators and architects across the UK and Ireland.

The visit saw ALFED’s Nadine Bloxsome, Chief Executive Officer, and Rachel Wiffen, Industry & Skills Development Manager, spend time with AliDeck’s leadership team to gain a deeper understanding of the company’s growth journey, manufacturing approach and future ambitions. During the visit, discussions covered AliDeck’s commitment to Made in Britain principles, sustainable manufacturing practices, product innovation, design-led solutions and workforce development.

The ALFED team were given a tour of the business and its operations, with conversations spanning industry sustainability challenges, aluminium recycling and resource efficiency, custom extrusion solutions, manufacturing innovation and the opportunities presented by skills and training initiatives across the sector. The meeting also explored ways in which AliDeck and ALFED can work more closely together through specialist industry groups and collaborative initiatives.

During the visit, discussions also covered industry developments including sustainability initiatives and AliDeck’s recent approval of its Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). Skills training and the evolving regulatory landscape for aluminium manufacturers were also high on the agenda. Both organisations recognised the importance of collaboration in helping businesses share best practice, address common challenges and support the future development of the sector.
