Rishi Sunak has been elected as Leader of the Conservative Party today and is expected to take office as Prime Minister tomorrow, after
meeting HM The King.
Given the speed of the leadership election there has been very little policy discussion over the past few days, but Cavendish Advocacy has put together a guide to the incoming PM’s policy positions, based on his campaigning during the previous leadership election. While his policy priorities will be affected by the “profound economic challenge” which he says the country faces, this gives a flavour of what the Sunak government might look like.
