Could your business benefit from the new British Industrial Competitiveness Scheme (BICS)? - The Aluminium Federation

With many businesses in the Aluminium sector being eligible for BICS, this is important news for our sector. The latest Government update has confirmed a tight first application window, running from 1 October to 30 November 2026. Businesses that miss it will have to wait until the next application window in 2028. We’re working with Envantage, low carbon and energy experts to help our members maximise their savings from this important new scheme.

With savings of up to 4p per kWh, this is a significant boost for eligible businesses. If you think you might be affected, get in touch with Envantage, low carbon and energy experts now. They can help you to check your eligibility and make sure you’re prepared. Over 10,000 businesses are expected to be eligible, so don’t leave it until the last minute.

If BICS could be relevant to your business, speak to the Envantage team now. With such a short application window, getting ready early will make a real difference.
