The BEIS have opened the Climate Change Agreements new entrant application window for a limited time. This will allow eligible operators another opportunity to join the current scheme and benefit from the discount on the Climate Change Levy whilst the replacement scheme is being consulted on.

If you think you could be eligible for a Climate Change Agreement you should express your interest by 14th February. Once you have indicated you would like to apply there is administration/spreadsheet data that is required from you to be completed by the end of February. The call for action would only apply to those organisations that are not currently enjoying a Climate Change Levy discount either through the Metallurgical Exemption scheme or an existing CCA.

Rule 9.5 in the current version of the underlying agreements does not allow us to add facilities to an umbrella agreement after 31 March 2021.

Whilst the deadline dates set out in the current version of the CCA Operations Manual are no longer relevant, the general guidance for submitting applications is applicable and you should use this.
