Aluminium is known as ‘the green metal’ and widely considered to be the most sustainable and environmentally-friendly metals available to industry.

Although the initial manufacturing process can have a relatively high carbon footprint, the benefits of aluminium use in industries like aerospace and automotive offset this through lower fuel consumption, while the recyclability of aluminium means that it can be used time after time with no loss of material properties and very little environmental impact. While, recycling also brings cost benefits for aluminium users.
