The Welding Institute (TWI) are delighted to announce that Caroline Gumble has today started her role as CEO of The Welding Institute and TWI.
To mark the start of her tenure, Caroline shared a few words:
Now that I have officially started in the role, I wanted to write to you personally and introduce myself as the new CEO of The Welding Institute and TWI Ltd.
I am looking forward to beginning this new era for The Welding Institute, TWI, and our training school, and want to thank David Wrathmall for his important work as interim CEO.
I have already had several informative discussions with our many stakeholders and recognise that there have been some challenging times over the past few years, both for us and for industry in general. However, as CEO, I am keen to focus on the needs of all of our Members.
For our Industrial Members, I believe that we are perfectly placed to help solve the challenges faced by the industry sectors we support. As ever, our ability to work across multiple industries and disciplines is a strength that I feel allows us to deliver the most suitable solutions, both impartially and independently.
I also believe that we remain an important voice for industry professionals through The Welding Institute and look forward to engaging with our Members going forwards, so that I can better understand their needs and provide improved support and benefits for them.
This also extends to our valued training customers, whether they are progressing their skills and careers themselves or are training with us alongside colleagues.
Of course, I understand that there is work to be done, and I recognise that we need to work collaboratively with others supporting our industries. I am looking forward to getting started and creating a refreshed environment for innovation, expertise, professional support and technical excellence at The Welding Institute, TWI and across our training school.
