First working group of the UK-Morocco agriculture tariff review

Under incorporated Article 18 of the UK–Morocco Association Agreement, the UK and Morocco have a requirement to meet and consider granting further tariff liberalisation of agriculture and fisheries products within 3 years of entry into force of the agreement.

The UK and Morocco met on 16 November 2023 to formally launch the first working group of the agriculture tariff review, which will meet again in 2024.

The parties discussed respective interests in agriculture, including further liberalisation of agricultural products and removal of non-tariff barriers. Both parties agreed to work towards a mutually beneficial and balanced outcome of the review.

The UK and Morocco look forward to continuing the discussion in 2024.
