Novelis’ Fiscal Year 2024 Sustainability Report highlights they have made great strides in their ambition to become the world’s leading provider of low-carbon, sustainable aluminum solutions that advance the world toward a circular economy.

‘Where Circularity Takes Shape’ – Novelis Fiscal Year 2024 Sustainability Report - The Aluminium Federation

This report offers a glimpse into a more sustainable future, where aluminum’s recyclability is leveraged to increase circularity and decrease carbon emissions across many industries. In FY24, Novelis achieved a remarkable 27% reduction in absolute emissions and a 28% reduction in carbon intensity as compared to their FY16 baseline. They also continued to increase the use of recycled content in their products reaching an average of 63%, a leading recycled content percentage for the aluminum industry.

Senior Manager – Sustainability & Recycling Development of Novelis, Andy Doran, commented:

“Reducing our carbon footprint is just one part of Novelis’ commitment to sustainability. Corporate social responsibility is also core to our purpose of Shaping a Sustainable World Together. To that end, last fiscal year we donated $8.7 million to charitable organisations and our employees engaged in more than 400 community events around the world.

While we are proud of our past achievements, we are more excited about the beginning of a new chapter in Novelis’ sustainability story. We have set a new vision – Novelis 3×30 – with new sustainability goals that will help enable us to accelerate our efforts to increase circularity and decarbonize the aluminum industry.   I encourage you to learn more about Novelis’ sustainability success and our ambitious plans for the future by reading our fiscal year 2024 sustainability report”.
