All sector specific climate change adaptation risk assessment templates are published on .GOV.UK here: Adapting to climate change: industry sector examples for your risk assessment – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk). We are committed to updating the sector specific templates alongside the revised management system guidance annually.  The metal sector template is now due for review. It is really important that we capture any additional impacts/mitigation following the extreme weather impacts we witnessed last year.

Currently the RA’s don’t mention impacts related to storms. There is growing consensus that we will and indeed are seeing more frequent storms across the country. Clearly storms can bring a variety of impacts and possible mitigations are likely to vary significantly.

Would you mind reviewing the template and update the template where necessary? Please send any additions back by 17 February to:  claire.wiles@environment-agency.gov.uk
