The Aluminium Federation (ALFED) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Envantage Ltd, who will take over as the official administrator for the Climate Change Agreement (CCA) scheme within the aluminium sector as we move into Phase 3 of the programme, starting January 2026.

Envantage will assume responsibility for all CCA sector administration and reporting on behalf of ALFED members, providing enhanced technical, compliance, and carbon management support. The transition follows a comprehensive review of sector needs and government updates to ensure a smooth migration into the new scheme phase.
Under the new agreement, Envantage will handle all key administrative duties, including data collection, audit liaison, and ongoing member communication with the Environment Agency. They will also provide regular updates, host webinars, and supply technical guidance to support members through the compliance and reporting process.
This partnership will ensure continued access to Climate Change Levy (CCL) savings for eligible aluminium sector operators, helping them maintain competitiveness and deliver measurable energy efficiency improvements through to 2033.
Supporting members and improving efficiency
Envantage brings extensive experience across UK industrial energy management and carbon reduction schemes. Their involvement will strengthen ALFED’s technical offer and ensure the sector remains well supported through the CCA transition.
ALFED Chief Executive, Nadine Bloxsome, said:
“The CCA remains a vital mechanism for energy-intensive industries like aluminium to manage costs while driving improvements in efficiency and carbon performance. Partnering with Envantage will give members access to high-quality expertise and help ensure a compliant and smooth transition into Phase 3 of the scheme.”
Check your eligibility
With the next phase of the CCA opening to new entrants, ALFED strongly encourages all members who are not currently participating to review their eligibility. Many companies across extrusion, finishing, and recycling could benefit from the substantial energy tax savings available under the scheme.
If your business uses significant amounts of electricity or natural gas in eligible aluminium processes, and you are unsure whether you qualify, please contact ALFED to discuss your eligibility and potential inclusion in the scheme.
Members already in the scheme will shortly receive data collection forms and guidance from Envantage to support the migration process.
