Vertik-Al has announced that it remains the only applicator in the UK and Ireland to hold the GSB International Master Seal for Approved Coater Aluminium after successfully passing its latest audit.  The powder coating specialist has held this status since 1994.

GSB International awards quality seals in different levels of quality.  Recipients are tested annually for adherence to the prescribed quality requirements.  Vertik-Al met the demands of GSB QR AL 631 for aluminium coating companies.

ALFED Member News: Vertik-Al Secures GSB International Master Seal - The Aluminium Federation“Being the only coater in the UK to hold the GSB International seal is a great honour.  In a challenging market, it gives us the edge over our competitors as businesses seek competent and reliable supply chain partners,” comments Group Managing Director, John Park-Davies.

“Quality seals such as this promote confidence.  All participants in the supply chain are assured of the quality and performance of the coating.  By demonstrating compliance our customers know that they can trust our coatings for many years to come, a fact that can be shared and appreciated by everyone involved – from architects and façade designers to facilities management and maintenance teams.”

The annual audit checks all parts of the powder coating process including, pre-treatment, coating, stoving parameters and final testing.  The coated items are then put through a rigorous testing regime which includes mechanical testing, pressure cooking and acetic acid salt spraying (AASS) testing.  The finished coating must also be of the correct appearance, thickness and gloss level.

Alongside the GSB International quality seal Vertik-Al holds the QUALICOAT quality label and has done so since 1994.  The powder coating specialist is also proud to be a member of the Aluminium Federation (ALFED), the secretariat for QUALICOAT UK & Ireland.
