
Nadine Bloxsome
Nadine brings over a decade of profound industry knowledge to the role of Chief Executive Officer at ALFED, honed through her tenure as Editor at Aluminium International Today magazine and in the past has been responsible for launching market leading events and conferences. Alongside other ALFED colleagues and member companies, Nadine plays a pivotal role in advancing the interests of the UK aluminium industry and driving initiatives that promote economic prosperity, environmental stewardship, and technological innovation. Presented with a unique opportunity to lead and shape the future of a critical sector within the UK economy, Nadine is responsible for influencing policies and fostering collaboration to ensure long-term sustainability and success.

Rachel Wiffen
Rachel joins us as Industry & Skills Development Manager with a wealth of aluminium industry knowledge; starting more than a decade ago she began her aluminium industry journey as a Manufacturing Graduate Engineer and worked her way up to roles including Group Lead for Advanced Manufacturing Processes, Senior Process Engineer and Quality Systems Manager. Rachel’s extensive experience in the industry coupled with her knowledge of sustainability and environmental techniques, such as Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs), have enabled her to support businesses in improving their process efficiencies, sustainability practices, and environmental footprints. We are excited to welcome Rachel and look forward to the valuable insights and increased engagement she will bring to ALFED members.

Jan Lukaszewski
Jan, commencing as an apprentice chain maker, has a distinguished background in metallurgy, through a successful and varied career, in metals forming, heat treatment and processing, failure analysis with extensive practical knowledge of automotive subcomponent manufacturing and finishing. His experience extends, automotive light-weighting and crash structure and in delivering technology into industrial applications, ranging from manufacturing to capital projects.
His extensive networks in business, academia and government are supportive to his role as an advocate for the Aluminium Sector.

Emily Foster
During the completion of a BA (Hons) in International Business, Emily fell in love with the dynamic nature of marketing. Inspired to delve deeper into the subject, Emily continued her studies at De Montfort University and completed an MSc in Strategic and Digital Marketing, achieving a distinction.
Emily is excited to use her passion for social media to take ALFED’s online presence to new heights. You’ll probably see her engaging with members and taking photos at events to enhance the association's online presence in creative and compelling ways.

Sophie Allen
Born and educated in Geneva, Switzerland, Sophie has worked in the publishing, commercial property and legal sectors. After earning a BSc (Hons) in Geography and Biology at the University of Southampton, Sophie has pursued a career focused on developing and maintaining excellent client relationships and has an innate ability to facilitate the connections that make things happen. With a disciplined and focused approach to project execution, Sophie approaches all challenges with an unflagging perseverance and commitment to driving positive change to add value. Sophie believes that people and team spirit are at the core of every successful organisation and are critical in creating growth.

Sharon McBride
Sharon joined ALFED in November 2022, and comes from a HR background within a manufacturing environment.
Utilising these skills, Sharon is our Office/Administration Manager and is focused on using her keen eye for detail to support the team and ALFED members; overseeing the daily operations of the office and playing a key role in co-ordinating several meetings and events. Her passion for office management comes from personal interaction and organisational excellence.

Jacquey Parker
Jacquey has been managing events with ALFED since 2021, following the merger of the former ASA. Her passion for managing projects and events is something that has evolved over many years, through her experiences in a wide variety of sectors and roles.
Following a live TV circus stunt challenge on a prime time show some years ago Jacquey likens organising an event to being a professional plate-spinner. From concept to completion, it's a juggling act to keep all the elements in perfect balance.

Karen Williams
Attwoods have been working with ALFED since 2007 and directly with Karen since 2008.
