Today the Environment Agency is launching a consultation on the review of existing Environmental Assessment Levels (EALs) for thirteen substances, currently published on gov.uk.  This is the second phase of a full review of the EALs developed by the Environment Agency, using our updated 2012 methodology.

The review of EALs is supported by individual substances dossiers, compiled in conjunction with the UK Health Security Agency, and the Environment Agency Chief Scientist’s Office.

The review has confirmed the EAL values for some of the thirteen substances and proposes changes for others.  These changes may be of interest to your organisation.  We therefore invite you to visit the consultation pages using either of the links below.  The consultation is open for responses until 20 June 2023.
