ALUMINIUM: ADVANCED MANUFACTURING
The Welding Institute (TWI) are proud to announce a one-day workshop on 27 March 2019, at their headquarters in Cambridge.
In collaboration with the Aluminium Federation (ALFED), the event will be an exclusive free of charge opportunity.
In May 2018 TWI signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ALFED to capitalise on the synergies presented by the strengths of both organisations.
The strategic partnership aims to deliver exchange of information through a range of events, collaborative projects and training opportunities. There is a broader remit to help enable industrial users realise the benefits of adopting Aluminium in their materials mix, through technical excellence and awareness.
Delegates will learn about surfacing and joining know-how for Aluminium, and how such developments can offer both technical and commercial manufacturing advantages. A wide sector approach will include specific focus for the Automotive and Aerospace sectors.
As well as presentations, networking opportunities and a tour of TWI’s facilities, attendees will be able to benefit from an interactive session and one to one discussions with experts.
An overview of TWI’s Collaborative Group will describe how the partnership with ALFED could leverage funding streams on behalf of our Members.
The event also provides a chance to engage with some of TWI’s Equipment, Consumables & Materials Industrial Members, who will offer insights into their own enabling technologies.
This event is open to Industrial Members of TWI or members of ALFED ONLY. See the programme here
