Great news as another new machine arrives at Maycast Nokes Precision Engineering Ltd.

Although times have been tough for everyone over the last year the signs are positive at Maycast with continued investment as we start to emerge from the shadows of the global pandemic.

The latest addition to the Maycast line up is another Haas VF4SS machine as the company continues to replace older machines with newer, faster, more reliable models.

Great news as another new machine arrives at Maycast Nokes Precision Engineering - The Aluminium Federation

With this influx of new machines the company can almost instantly recognise greater capability and capacity with the new 5 axis machines coupled with faster spindle speeds and tool changes providing more flexibility and more efficient run times.

Over recent years the company has invested in a VF2, VF4SS and 2 UMC750’s prior to the arrival of this latest acquisition.

The work is not done however as no sooner was the VF4SS delivered, installed and commissioned within only a matter of a few days then further space has been cleared and preparations are under way for the arrival of a 3rd UMC750 machine.

These 2 latest machines alone represent an investment of £250k.

Not content with investing in just plant the company is pleased to announce that it continues to invest in people also and develop future generations with much needed industry skills that will help to support them and others throughout their lifetime.

To facilitate this Maycast has opened up it’s award winning apprenticeship scheme again this year and the search has begun for new apprentices to start in time for the next academic year for 21/22 enrolment.

The scheme provides excellent opportunities to learn and earn as you gain qualifications and experience in a multitude of disciplines whilst also being paid competitively and being fully supported throughout your journey.

Despite the challenges the past year or so has presented, Maycast have weathered the storm well retaining a strong order book and winning work with new and existing customers both in the UK and abroad. This is testament to the hard work put in by everybody within the company to provide the best service and products possible and building strong, long lasting relationships with our suppliers and customers alike.

As always we are pleased to share our news and information with you and welcome anyone who has any questions or would like to visit us at our site in the UK.
