WMG Associate Professor Lecture Series: Aluminium Alloys and Defects
Associate Professor Dr Prakash Srirangam & Dr Claire Dancer
Dr. Prakash Srirangam is currently working as an Associate Professor in WMG at the University of Warwick, UK. He completed his M. Tech in Metallurgical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology-Varanasi and PhD (Metallurgy) from McMaster University, Canada. After completion of his PhD, he pursued his postdoctoral research fellow positions at Queens University, Kingston, Canada and University of Manchester, UK before taking up the faculty position at WMG in 2014.
His research interests are in aluminium alloys, steels, dissimilar metals joining and advanced materials characterisation. His work has been published extensively in various international peer reviewed journals and he has delivered key-note and invited talks in International Conferences.
In this talk, Prakash is going to present his research activities in aluminium alloys, recycling and characterisation.
