School visit a Real success

Year 8 and year 9 pupils from Ysgol Glan-y-Mor in Burry Port Camarthenshire, recently visited the Real Alloy plant in Swansea.

The pupils, many of whom have participated in the 2016 Aluminium D&T Challenge, watched presentations by Real Alloy's Ken Britz and Ian Oliver from ALFED, before seeing the recycling plant in action.

As well as featuring strongly in prevoius Aluminium D&T Challenges, Ysgol Glan-y-Mor places great emphasis on delivering STEM and this has recently been recognised by Young Engineers in naming Glan-y-Mor School of the Year.
